You can manage your scheduled posts here on this site with your favorite desktop blogging software. Post Later communicates with the desktop blogging software, such as ScribeFire, Windows Live Writer, w.bloggar, and Ecto, using the metaWeblog remote publishing API.
Configuring Post Later in the blogging client is very easy, because these blogging tools can automatically discover the remote publishing parameters.
Go to your list of sites here on Post Later, and click the edit icon (the pencil) for a site. That takes you to the Edit page for the site. On that page you will find three fields, namely Blog URL, Blog User Name, and Blog Password.
When you configure the desktop client, enter the Blog URL as the web address of your blog. The client will visit that page and auto-discover the fact that it must use the metaWeblog API to communicate with Post Later.
Then enter the Blog User Name and Blog Password as your user name and password in the client.
With ScribeFire, you must make one small change to the blog setup for it to work correctly. On the Blogs tab in ScribeFire, click Edit. You will notice that it has "http://www.postlater.com" in the URL field. Replace that with the full URL that's in the Blog URL field of your site's Edit page. If you don't do that, ScribeFire gets confused when you add more than one site that sits on the PostLater.com domain.
